Helibras, Eurocopter subsidiary in Brazil, and ATE have just signed a technical cooperation
agreement concerning their helicopter program activities.
Both companies have decided to take advantage of their complementarities to develop
their cooperation in Brazil, in the field of military helicopter modernization and acquisition
programs requiring specific and complex system development and integration. Thanks to
this agreement, both companies will develop conditions to offer Brazilian customers and
operators more flexible and adapted solutions, with a significant local content.
Several cooperation projects are already considered by Helibras and ATE.
ATE - Advanced Technology and Engineering is a South African company with an
extensive record in integrated mission systems development, aircraft upgrade, retrofit and
modernization and integration of advanced technologies equipment and components into
military vehicles.
Helibras - Helicópteros do Brasil S.A is a Brazilian company, incorporated in 1978 and the
only helicopter manufacturer in Latin America. It is part of the Eurocopter group, includes
final assembly lines, MRO facilities, a training center, a design office and a flight operations
department. It has delivered more than 500 helicopters to date.
