Curing

Curing Area

  • Curing cycle of parts dependent upon type of material and properties
    required in design
  • Autoclave cures require high temperature and high pressure
  • Oven Cures require moderate to high temperatures and vacuum

Autoclave 1: 20ft X 8ft
Autoclave 2: 16ft X 4ft
Oven: 10ft X 12ft

Layup

Layup Workshop

  • Layup molds made from carbon fiber tooling material
  • Honeycomb core used in various layup applications to provide structural strength
  • High temperature materials that have been kitted are used in various layups
  • Each layer of material is installed by hand and worked into the contours
  • All parts are then vacuum bagged and prepared for autoclave cure
Paint

Prep & Paint

  • Parts trimmed and surface prepared for prime and paint operations
  • Dust collection used to capture and extract heavy carbon dust
  • Two paint booths with spray and bake capabilities ensure final finish specifications are achieved
